Crunch Fitness is preparing to open a new gym at 1275 Foothill Boulevard in La Verne this December, bringing another location to the Southern California market as its franchise operator continues expanding across the country.
Hiba Abduljawad, chief marketing officer of Fitness Ventures, the company behind the upcoming club, confirmed the timeline to What Now Los Angeles. The gym is listed as a coming-soon location on Crunch Fitness’ website and will be located at Gateway Pointe, an outdoor shopping center along Foothill Boulevard.
The La Verne club will offer a range of workout options, including strength and cardio equipment, group fitness classes, personal training and Crunch’s HIITZone, a dedicated space for high-intensity, team-based workouts. The location will also feature recovery amenities such as HydroMassage and tanning beds.
The opening is part of Fitness Ventures’ broader growth, with the company operating Crunch Fitness gyms across multiple U.S. markets. When asked about its expansion plans, Abduljawad said the business continues to open new clubs at a steady pace.
“Yes, we are on a growth tear. We open 20+ gyms every year,” she told What Now Los Angeles.
Fitness Ventures is the largest franchise operator in the Crunch Fitness system. Its portfolio spans 30 states, and its growth strategy includes both new club development and acquisitions.
In October, Franchise Times reported that the operator expected to open at least 25 Crunch gyms in 2027, with leases already signed for most of those locations.
