A lease was secured for the restaurant in Candler Park after ‘eying’ Atlanta for more than a year, Eater Atlanta reports.

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken out of Nashville has secured a lease for its first Atlanta location, Eater Atlanta Wednesday first reported.
The chicken joint, which was considering an Atlanta store for more than a year, would open in Candler Park across from Wrecking Bar Brewpub, at 299 Moreland Avenue NE.
Perhaps the restaurant was hinting at opening in Atlanta when a caption-less post of the skyline was made on the Hattie B’s Hot Chicken Facebook page in September.
Father-and-son co-owners Nick Bishop Sr. and Nick Bishop Jr. are looking to open Hattie B’s Hot Chicken late-2017, according to the report.
The 2,800-square-foot Hattie B’s Hot Chicken would replace a laundromat and a “prototype of a Phillips 66 gas station” before that.
The first Hattie B’s Hot Chicken debuted in Nashville in 2012.
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken was not immediately available for comment.
