Official plans filed to buildout the new restaurant in space previously occupied by Morton’s Steakhouse.

Sage Social Kitchen & Bar could soon open its second location in Buckhead’s 3379 Peachtree building.

Infinite Dining Group, the company behind Sage Social Kitchen, Wednesday filed plans with City of Atlanta to buildout two floors of the nine-story mid-rise for the restaurant in space most recently a Morton’s Steakhouse.

The 8,445-square-foot concept was first announced October, 2016.

An estimated $526,000 could be spent renovating the space including alterations to the interior and exterior like the addition of new fabric and metal canopies, new doors, and an outdoor seating area with fire pit features.

Sage Social Kitchen would serve lunch, brunch, and dinner serving soups, salads, sandwiches, paellas, flatbreads, seafood, and steaks, according to the restaurant’s website.

Sage Social Kitchen should open its Buckhead outpost early 2017.

The restaurant’s original location opened earlier this year in East Cobb joining sister concepts Sage Woodfire Tavern Perimeter, and Sage Woodfire Tavern and Spice Brick Oven Kitchen in Alpharetta.

  • Good lord! All there is lately is restaurant news. We need another coffee house, pizza joint or farm-to-table like a hole in the head. I don’t see how this is sustainable, no matter how much people eat out. Curious to see if this trend will crash and burn in the next economic downturn.
