As first reported in the Dayton Business Journal, Rise Brands, the company behind Pins Mechanical Co., is making plans to open in downtown Dayton, in the space that formerly housed Moeller Brew Barn, located at 416 E 1st St. While an official opening date hasn’t been set yet, the company anticipates welcoming guests to the 11,000-square-foot venue in spring 2025.

Pins offers its guests a blend of old-school entertainment, handcrafted cocktails and a social atmosphere. The East First Street location will feature two floors of games and gathering spaces, including eight duckpin bowling lanes, multiple bars, a patio with fire pits and scenic views of Day Air Ballpark, which is located across the street.

“We’re thrilled to bring Pins to Dayton and be a part of this lively community,” Troy Allen, CEO of Rise Brands, said in a statement from the company. “We believe in creating spaces where guests can unwind and connect with each other in memorable ways. We hope to offer Dayton a place where everyone, from sports fans to families, can come together.”

Guests can enjoy seasonal as well as unique, housemade cocktails and non-alcoholic selections and choose from a variety of classic games that Pins is known for, such as pinball, foosball, Hookie and more.  And, adding a touch of whimsy, the location will feature a slide that takes guests from the second floor down to the patio.

The Dayton location will be the eleventh opening for the Pins brand and the sixth location in Ohio, opening just ahead of a seventh site launching in The District at Deerfield, which is slated for a summer 2025 opening.
