As first reported by Dayton Daily News, Pour House is making plans to expand this spring. The restaurant and self-pour establishment is located at 138 Riverfront Plaza, in Hamilton, and will expand its operations into the vacant space adjacent to it, which previously housed Chick’nCone.
When expansion is complete, it will add 40 to 50 extra seats to the 90 seats Pour House currently has, as well as allow for building a bigger kitchen. The establishment will also offer bar seating when the expansion is complete, which is something it doesn’t have available in its current seating configuration. And the added kitchen space will allow for the kitchen team to be able to keep up with the extra guests, as well as add in some new menu offerings.
“We’re adding some warm sandwiches that we call Pour House Pockets,” said Toni Salem, who co-owns Pour House with her husband, Rafael.
Salem went on to explain that the sandwich is kind of like a sub, and selections will include an offering that features Italian-style meats as well as a gyro option. Currently, the menu includes selections such as pretzels, waffle fries, wings, pizzas and a number of dips. Salem said there are also plans to expand the pizza menu, and add a few more dips and appetizers. In addition to food, the establishment’s self-pour taps and drink menu include a variety of draft beers, wines and cocktails, as well as soft drinks.
Another new addition that will launch in the spring is the Pour House Pedal, which will be Hamilton’s first pedal wagon. Salem said the pedal wagon will traverse a route that is made up of flat terrain and is paved. The pedal wagon will have seating for 14, and offer guests a 90-minute to two hour tour of the city. The Pour House Pedal will have a driver, and feature an electric assistance option that the driver can adjust to help guests with some, or even all, of the pedaling.
