Grocery store chain Aldi next week will debut its Buckhead store, at 3221 Peachtree Road.

The new location, part of a $3.4 billion investment to expand Aldi to 2,500 stores nationwide by the end of 2022, will grand open July 26, according to a press release Thursday.

To celebrate the store opening, the company will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday at 8:25 a.m., followed by the company’s “Golden Ticket” giveaway offering gift cards to the first 100 customers.

Shoppers can also sample Aldi-exclusive brand foods and enter sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of produce.

“Aldi stores look and feel different, and that’s by design,” Shaun O’Keefe Jefferson, division vice president for the grocery store chain, said in the release.

“Our shopping experience was created to make life easier for our customers. Our exclusive and streamlined selection gives you the food you need at the prices you want, including hot new trends and healthy-living options.”

The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Aldi is known for its simplified, no-frills shopping, including limiting its selection, a .25-cent grocery cart rental, and asking customers to bag their own groceries.

Parent company Albrecht Discount also owns specialty grocer Trader Joe’s.
