Signage recently went up in Old Fourth Ward for Waldo’s, a planned $70 million mixed-use, at 40 Boulevard NE.

When the Lucror Resources project was first announced in September 2018 (paywall), it was nameless.

Waldo’s, named for Ralph Waldo Emerson according to the project’s website, will offer residential, retail, office, and a hotel once complete.

Colliers International is marketing the office component of the project and ThoughtWell is overseeing retail and restaurant leasing.

Across the 200,000-square-foot development will be 10,000 square feet of restaurants and retail space, 10 townhomes, and an 80-key boutique hotel.

Atlanta-based tvsdesign is designing Waldo’s.

It’s unclear when the project would break ground, but its six office floorplan options are listed on LoopNet as being available April 1, 2020.

Floorplans range in size from 13,000 to 22,000 square feet.

The starting price per square foot is $35.

Representatives for the project were not immediately available when reached by What Now Atlanta Tuesday.
