MOD Restaurants later this year will open Monkey 68 Kitchen and Bar in Alpharetta.
The Asian eatery will share space with the already-opened A.C. Studios and Cafe, at 160 N. Main Street.
It is a variation of sister concept Monkey 68 in Roswell.
“The expansion is from a driven interest in the regular menu at Monkey 68 and the restaurant’s interest to provide Asian small plates and entrees for diners,” a company spokesperson in an email Monday told What Now Atlanta.
Owner Mali Hu will oversee the beverage program.
“We have received such a warm welcome in the Roswell and Alpharetta area, and we are so excited to bring our second location to the same area and offer even more of our signature food and cocktails,” Hu said in a prepared statement.
Chef David Yun, the current executive chef for Monkey 68 and MOD’s other sister concepts including Katana Teppanyaki & Sushi, will helm the kitchen at the new location.
Expect a late-summer 2019 opening after “minimal design” work to the space.
