The three-story, 106,455-square-foot SAFStor will be built from the ground up, at 430 Bishop Street NW, in the Loring Heights neighborhood.

It is currently in permitting with the City of Atlanta.

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. is overseeing construction for the project.

The Atlanta-based firm estimates building the new SAFStor facility will cost $6,770,198, according to the permit filing.

It will offer 889 climate-controlled units, once complete.

“Our goal is to create a dynamic structure that not only serves its main purpose of self-storage but embodies a timeless style for years to come,” parent company SAFStor, Inc. states on its website.

The company is currently looking to develop new SAFStor facilities throughout the country “in proximity to retail destinations or along major arteries in markets…”
