With a projected opening set for 2024, the Majestic will be the newest addition to the city’s hotel scene. Breaking from the typical Vegas mold, the Majestic has announced that they will be a non-gaming and smoke-free space.

The property at 305 Convention Center Dr. has changed hands many times over the years. In the ‘90s, it was known as the Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Hotel. From 2009 to 2014, it was the Clarion.

That was until 2014, when Developer Lorenzo Doumani purchased the six-acre site two blocks off the Strip and it was demolished the next year. The Majestic will begin construction in July of 2021, with a projected cost of $850 million, according to an announcement his week.

Once completed, the amenities will include a wellness spa, 50 pool-side cabanas, and a plaza featuring six independent restaurants. The top ten floors of the building will hold corporate office spaces that look down on the Las Vegas skyline.
