Bryz Guyz, Inc., the Blaze Pizza franchisee for Las Vegas, is opening its next location in the Stewart Place neighborhood.

The Pasadena, Calif.-based chain, founded in 2011 by Elise and Rick Wetzel of Wetzel’s Pretzels, will open at 71 N Nellis Blvd., in place of a Kentucky Fried Chicken. It is one of at least eleven local outposts planned as part of Bryz Guys’ franchise agreement with the fast-casual pizza joint.

Franchisee Brian Booth will take possession of the space in the next few months, Booth over the weekend told What Now Las Vegas in an email, “but we do not have a firm open date just yet.”

Booth did not immediately comment further on the plans or disclose where his company might pop down a Blaze Pizza next.

Blaze Pizza bills itself as a “modern day ‘pizza joint’ serving up artisanal pizzas that are both fast and affordable.” Guests can customize one of the menu’s signature pizzas or create their own, choosing from a selection of ingredients that are free of artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, and sweeteners.

Each Blaze makes its dough fresh and from scratch using a proprietary recipe developed by Executive Chef Bradford Kent (the “Pizza Whisperer”), which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature “light-as-air, crisp crust.” Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free and keto crusts, plus vegan cheese and plant-based spicy chorizo.
