Food truck and caterer Afro-Fusion is laying down roots on the Westside come early June.

Afro-Fusion will serve cuisines of West African nations — with Liberia at its focus — out of the space formerly home to Call Me Cake, at 450 S Buffalo Dr. Suite 115, according to the restaurant’s website and social media.

Owner Nya Mi Trokpao was not immediately available for comment Monday, specifically on when an exact opening can be expected, but the most recent Facebook post on the Afro-Fusion page indicates the opening will be “soon.”

It’s unclear if the limited menu — a result of operating out of a food truck — will be expanded alongside the shiny-new brick-and-mortar space.

Currently, the menu offers cornbread and fried plantains for starters, and entrees like Fish & Chicken Gravy, Fufu and Soup, and Oxtail. The food truck did not serve alcohol.
