The Hawaiian breakfast and lunch spot Kono’s is journeying to Las Vegas. The family-owned restaurant has grown to be a local and tourist favorite, renowned for its 12-hour slow-roasted kalua pork.
Since the original Haleiwa location opened its doors in 2002, Kono’s has opened three more restaurants across O’ahu in Kailua Town, Waikiki, and Honolulu. This newest location in Las Vegas will be Kono’s first out-of-state location.
Kono’s offers delicious breakfast burritos, lunch sandwiches, hand-crafted milkshakes, and freshly squeezed limeades and lemonades. Among its many mouthwatering plates are the Kalua Pig Nachos, which are stacked with 12-hour pulled pork, guava bbq sauce, cheese, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, cilantro, and jalapeños.
Kono’s will move into a 1,500-sqaure-foot space at 3616 Spring Mountain Road, just north of the Las Vegas Strip. Although an official opening date has not yet been announced, be sure to check back in for updates on when the feast begins.
