Resorts World Las Vegas will welcome Eight Lounge, a new cigar lounge, into its family this fall. With more than 150 different cigars matched with cocktails and spirits by “cigar sommelier” bartenders, the location plans to offer a comprehensive cigar lounge experience.
The project is the brainchild of entrepreneur Gisuseppe Bravo and celebrity lawyer David Chesnoff. It offers a cigar lounge experience that is familiar and yet new, subverting what managing partner John Pettei refers to as the old cigar-lounge cliché: “the old man in the smoky room.”
Attentive to the import of its branding, Eight Lounge digs into the symbolism surrounding the number in eight in Chinese culture: infinity. The eight concept recurs throughout the space, for example in the lounge and humidor, which are divided into eight sections.
Eight also features a state-of-the-art air-filtration system that freshens the interior’s air every four minutes—another way in which the lounge attempts to welcome guests unfamiliar with or intimidated by the classic cigar-lounge idea, while creating a satisfying experience for those who think that idea sounds like just the ticket.
