Two new Phenix Salon Suites are opening in the Atlanta-area, joining the existing 13 hair, beauty, and wellness suite hubs throughout Georgia.
The Midtown location next to the Loews Hotel at the corner of 11th and Juniper Streets opens Feb. 1 with 26 suites making up 5,015 square feet.
The Akers Mill Square location, at 2955 Cobb Parkway Suite 301, will open in March near the Total Wine and Cinco Mexicana Cantina Store with 32 suites in 6,300 square feet.
California-based Phenix Salon Suites began expanding in 2012 and will have opened 267 stores nationwide by the end of January 2020, and a projected 300, by the end of 2020.
The rapid growth of the company comes alongside key features and benefits offered to salon professionals such as ceilings and doors for privacy, individual thermostats, 24-hour ability to work, free on-site laundry and a stylist-focused operating ethos from founder Gina Rivera who still styles hair for an A-list clientele after 25 years in the industry.
“We are excited to be offering these Salon Professionals a chance to own their own business and run it the way they want,” Suzanne Taylor, co-owner and part of an Atlanta investment group that owns the Midtown and Akers Mill locations, told What Now Atlanta.
Services vary by location but the suites are designed to accommodate hairstylists, barbers, estheticians, massage therapists, nail and lash technicians and makeup artists.
