A permit has been filed for construction on Haven at South Atlanta, an 84-unit residential development in South Atlanta. According to a 2019 viability analysis from accounting firm Novogradac & Company, the multifamily property will consist of four three-to-four-story garden-style residential buildings and one community building.

Developed by the Pennsylvania-based Pennrose Properties, the 77,580-square-foot development will be located on 57 Hardwick Street SE, next to the Luther J. Price Middle School and First Deliverance Church-Atlanta. The area, located about a mile south from the Beltline, is currently vacant wooded land.

The proposed asking rents for the 84 units will range from $544 to $1,115. Seventeen units will be priced at 50 percent area median income (AMI), 54 units will be priced at 60 percent AMI, and the remaining 13 will be priced at market value. Utilities will not be included, except trash pick-up.

In-unit amenities will include central air conditioning, dishwashers, microwaves, ovens, fridges, and washer/dryers. Property amenities will include a business center and community space, exercise facility, wifi, and a communal garden

Construction is set to finish in late 2021.
