The historic Sweet Auburn property will boast seven apartments, three commercial spaces.
“Freedom Corner,” a historic Sweet Auburn brick building built in 1910, will soon be renovated into “micro-housing” and co-working space.
Ethical Properties, LLC earlier this year bought the structure, at 340 Auburn Avenue NE, and Thursday at 3 p.m. will open bidding for a general contractor to oversee the renovation.
Once complete, the two-story, 5,974-square-foot Freedom Corner will boast seven “micro” apartments and three commercial spaces; not far off from its current layout (six units and three commercial spaces.)
The property, first listed for purchase in April 2016, was priced at $750,000.
Ethical Properties did not immediately return What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
