Korbiz Hospitality Group, which operates two restaurants in Columbia, South Carolina, is bringing a concept to Atlanta. MOA Korean Bistro will open in the 4,000-square-foot space at 6075 Roswell Road, Suite 100, where Baraonda Ristorante shuttered this month.

Steve Josovitz and Irving Jacobson of the Shumacher Group facilitated the deal.

MOA has inked a ten-year lease for the space, which has seating for 100 and features bar seating for 15 and patio seating for 36.

Sean Kim, Mike Choe and Dave Ha are behind the upscale Korean concept, which found its start in Charlotte in 2020. Former partner Sung Oh continues to operate that location, while Kim, Choe and Ha operate MOA Korean BBQ & Bar and 929 Kitchen & Bar in Columbia. The forthcoming Sandy Springs restaurant will be their first foray into Georgia.

MOA Korean Bistro will offer modern Korean cuisine, craft cocktails and an upscale aesthetic. In addition to dinner, the spot will be open for lunch, featuring banchan, rice and protein.

MOA’s design will showcase exposed structures, including raw concrete and stone. The hard elements will be balanced by smoked oak, brass and Korean ceramics.

What Now Atlanta has reached out to MOA ownership for additional details on opening timeline but did not hear back prior to the time of publication.
