Morningside restaurant to undergo renovations, close for lunch.

Rosebud in an email Thursday announced plans to renovate and discontinue lunch service after ten years in business.

Chef Ron Eyster (A.K.A., the Angry Chef), the owner of Rosebud, wanted to ring in the new year with the restaurant’s changes.

“I feel like I was just wishing everyone Happy New Year yesterday, and now January has just about passed us by,” Eyster said in the email.

“We’ve had exciting and ambitious start to 2014 at all of our restaurants.”

Rosebud will undergo minor renovations including “freshly painted walls, a re-finished floor and a new upholstered banquette in the bar area,” according to the announcement.

“After many years of being open about as much a Walmart, we’ve decide to eliminated lunch service at Rosebud Monday through Thursday,” according to the announcement.

Rosebud will continue to serve brunch on the weekends; Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m.
