Fast-growing franchise Paris Baguette has another location on the way to the Atlanta area. Franchisee Layne Alkaasamani is bringing the brand to Alpharetta at 4119 Lake Street. Alkaasamani told What Now Atlanta that the team is targeting a mid-July opening for the spot.
This location will mark the second with the franchise for Alkaasamani, who also operates a location in Kennesaw. Originally from Brazil, Alkaasamani has always had a passion for baking, eventually attending culinary school in Switzerland. As a pastry chef, Alkaasamani was drawn to the brand as a way to pursue her passion as a business owner.
“What made it stand out for me was the culture. I really like the corner bakery feeling,” Alkaasamani said. “It’s such a well-made franchise. We still have baked goods every day in the morning. Even though it’s a franchise, it doesn’t have a franchise feel to it. We always try to give you that feeling of just a small corner bakery in your community.”
Paris Baguette, known for its cakes, pastries, sandwiches and breads, has been around since 1988, when the chain began in South Korea. There are more than 4,000 locations for the brand worldwide.
Paris Baguette currently has nine locations in the state, with spots in Atlanta, Buford, Duluth, Athens and Savannah. In addition to the forthcoming location in Alpharetta, another franchisee is bringing a new location to Midtown Atlanta.
Eventually, Alkaasamani hopes to expand to two or three more locations with the Paris Baguette brand.
