A Roswell restaurant is expanding to Downtown Atlanta.
The Vick At Healey is planned for 57 Forsyth Street NW, according to a liquor license application with the City of Atlanta.
This will be the second location of the concept, joining the existing The Vick on Canton, located in Roswell at 1182 Canton Street. The concept comes from restaurateur and chef Kadijah Vickers. (Fun fact: The restaurant’s flagship location is located in a ground-floor space at an apartment community called Vickers Roswell. Owner Vickers described finding the space as “a serendipity moment.”)
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Vickers attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Atlanta before working as a personal chef and in several restaurants. The Vick Koffee & Kocktails opened in 2021, serving a brunch menu of omelettes, eggs benedict, chicken and waffles, potato bowls, sandwiches, and more. The “after dark” menu features burgers, salads, seafood and more. The beverage program includes coffee and cocktails.
Now, The Vick is planning expansion to Downtown Atlanta. It would be located in the Fairlie-Poplar district, in the Healey Building.
According to the liquor license application, operating hours for the Downtown restaurant are expected to be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The 2,700-square-foot restaurant will have seating for 70 people and include live entertainment. Seventy percent of sales are expected to come from food, with the remaining 30 percent coming from alcohol.
