Indian restaurant Sankranti will be opening a new restaurant in Buckhead, according to a recent permit filing. It is slated to open in a 1,560-square-foot, ground-floor space at 3420 Piedmont Rd NE.
The permit indicates that construction is still forthcoming in the space. When completed, the restaurant will seat 43 people and will also feature outdoor dining.
Sankranti has one existing location in Georgia Tech’s Technology Research Building that opened in December 2023. The brand previously had locations in Dunwoody and Decatur, but both locations shuttered late last year.
The brand also has a downtown location that is listed as “coming soon” on the Sankranti website at 27 Piedmont Ave. NE Unit #E2, though an exact timeline has not been announced.
The restaurant serves a fast-casual Indian menu featuring curry bowls, biryani, samosas, chaat and naan.
