‘Southern Restaurants For Racial Justice’ Bake Sale Gains 60+ Participants

Fundraiser in honor of George Floyd spearheaded by Anne Quatrano will be hosted at Ponce City Market.

More than 60 Atlanta chefs, bakers, and restaurant owners are banding together to host a bake sale fundraiser in honor of George Floyd and to continue raising awareness for racial justice in the City and beyond, according to a press release Thursday.

Chef Anne Quatrano is leading the charge aptly named Southern Restaurants for Racial Justice.

The event will take place on Sunday, June 21 in the Ponce City Market Central Food Hall where Quantrano is a partner in Pancake Social.

For purchase will be pre-sealed boxes of baked goods—think bagels, cupcakes, cookies, cakes, tarts, rolls & biscuits—and other products for $5 with 100 percent of proceeds benefitting Color of Change.

  • I’m so confused.
    So all those restaurants are contributing food for pre-packaged boxes at a PCM event?
    That’s a lot of restaurants– and I don’t see a lot of them doing $5
    boxed food very well.
    Do you know what’s in the box before you buy it?
