A popular coffee shop from Canada is preparing to celebrate its grand opening in Suwanee.

The new Tim Hortons is located at 110 Vaughan Road. The grand opening celebration will take place Dec. 13, 2024, with deals and giveaways.

The first 50 cars in line will win free coffee for a year. A 10-pack of Timbits (Tim Hortons’ signature donut holes) will be available for $1, and any size hot or iced coffee will be 99 cents. There will be a hot cocoa bar with Santa Claus from 1-3 p.m.

The new location is owned by Shan Aly and Mit Patel of ST Royal LLC.

“We are thrilled to introduce Tim Hortons to the Suwanee area,” the owners shared. “As proud owners and longtime enthusiasts, we hold a deep appreciation for the brand and its products. Having grown up visiting family in Canada, Tim Hortons was a daily stop. Our commitment extends beyond Suwanee, as we are actively expanding and working on additional locations to bring Tim Hortons to more communities across the metro Atlanta and Georgia regions.”

The first Tim Hortons opened in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1964 and has since become Canada’s largest restaurant chain. According to the company, Tim Hortons serves more than 5 million cups of coffee every day, with 80 percent of Canadians visiting a location in Canada at least once a month.

The menu includes coffee, tea, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, wraps and more. There are currently a few locations in Georgia, including one in Atlanta at 610 Spring Street NW.

Tim Hortons in Suwanee is open daily 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
