The Comfortable Chair Store to Close After Three Decades

The Comfortable Chair Store has operated in Roswell since 1992. The showroom is closing its doors permanently this summer.

The store is located at 1101 Alpharetta Street in Roswell. The store specializes in customizable American-made furniture designed for a variety of living spaces.

The store’s selection includes recliners and swivel chairs, lift chairs for people with mobility needs, and sofas. It also offers sleeper sofas, nursery gliders, accent chairs and ottomans, rugs, and other products.

Three Decades of Made-to-Order American Furniture

The Comfortable Chair Store opened in 1992, specializing in custom-ordered upholstered furniture. The store focused on furniture designed to fit customers’ comfort needs as well as their living spaces. Its inventory includes brands such as American Leather, Norwalk, Highland House, and King Hickory.

Through its 34 years in Roswell, the store remained an independently owned retailer. It offered personalized service and everyday value. The business also earned UltraComfort America’s Independent Retailer of the Year award for its commitment to customer service.

The store will continue its liquidation sale until all remaining inventory has been sold before closing permanently.
