Retailer expands in anticipation of demand for new Microsoft-enabled devices this fall.

Microsoft released late September the initial locations across the U.S. and Canada where it plans to launch holiday stores this fall.

First announced at this year’s Worldwide Partner Conference by Kevin Turner, Microsoft Chief Operating Officer, the company will open 30-plus stores this holiday season.

Microsoft today announced it will open a Perimeter Mall holiday store on Friday, Oct. 26. Perimeter Mall will be the only location in Georgia getting a Microsoft holiday store.

For those keeping track, the final version of Windows 8 will go on sale Oct. 26, the same day Microsoft’s holiday stores open. For a complete list of holiday stores, visit Microsoft’s website.
