The Skintimacy Bar founder Octavia Jones is preparing her new concept The Body Creamery at The Works at 1235 Chattahoochee Ave. NW, Suite 122, according to a recent permit filing.
Jones shuttered her body butter brand The Skintimacy Bar in Downtown Atlanta in April to focus on bringing her new concept to life this fall. This month, Jones shared an update on development at the space at The Works, indicating that she has experienced delays with architecture and construction.
The new concept at The Works will be an interactive body butter experience reminiscent of an ice cream shop, allowing customers to choose different body butters to build their own body butter.
As of now, an exact opening timeline has not been released. Construction is still to come on the space.
When The Body Creamery opens, it will join other shops at The Works including the recently opened Summer Breeze Flowers & Gifts, Global Gear and Love Train Antiques & Home.
