Carrollton gift shop The Classy Cricket will relocate next month, according to a recent announcement from owner Valerie Ayers. The City Menus was the first to report the news.

The longstanding shop will move from its home at 301 Bradley Street to 929 Maple Street, Suite C, with a target opening date around the end of August in the new space. The new location will be near American Pie Pizzeria and hair salon Mane on Maple.

“After 34 incredibly blessed years in business, I have reached a fork in the road. At 71 years old, with the guidance of my physician and the loving support of my family, I have made the decision to move my business to a smaller location,” Ayers wrote in the announcement. “This decision was not made lightly, but I know it is the right one for this season of my life.”

What Now Atlanta got in touch with Ayers, who said they are currently in the process of moving into the new space. Ayers was not immediately available for further comment.
