An online home goods retailer is opening a store in Atlanta.

Wayfair announced that its second large-format store is slated to open in the city in 2026. The 150,000-square-foot space will feature furniture, decor, housewares, appliances and home improvement items.

The store will be located at 1801 Howell Mill Road NW in The District at Howell Mill, a shopping center in the Upper Westside. Many items will be available to purchase and take home that day. For bigger items, the store’s proximity to Wayfair’s fulfillment center in McDonough will allow for fast delivery.

This will be Wayfair’s second large-format store, following the opening of one in Wilmette, Illinois, in May 2024.

“At the heart of our retail strategy is our commitment to providing customers with a seamless shopping experience, whether online or in-store,” Wayfair Vice President of Merchandising and Stores Liza Lefkowski said in a statement. “We are thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind shopping experience to the Atlanta metro area. We will offer customers an extensive selection for all styles and budgets, with our vast catalog brought to life in an inspiring and easy-to-navigate shopping experience that makes discovering the perfect pieces effortless.”

Wayfair is doubling down on brick-and-mortar after seeing success from the Wilmette store. According to the company, sales from the state of Illinois grew more than 15 percent faster than the U.S. overall, from the time the store launched through the end of 2024.

“It’s been incredible to see the enthusiasm for Wayfair in person and we can’t wait to bring that same energy to Atlanta,” Lefkowski said.

Founded in 2002, Wayfair is based in Boston.
