Southern soul food revival restaurant Moe’s BBQ is coming to the Wellington Center shopping strip, at 5005 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 810, in Peachtree Corners. Owner Scott Carlock expects the location to open early-2021. Carlock has secured a two-year lease for the 2,000-square-foot space.
The menu features pulled pork, ribs, and turkey as well as some “Southern flare” with fried shrimp. There are standard sides, including collard greens, mac ‘n cheese, and baked beans, as well as some rotating options. “Everything is fresh and made to order,” Carlock told What Now Atlanta. The restaurant will also offer a patio and a bar with TVs to watch sports.
Moe’s BBQ was founded in 1988 by Ben Gilbert, Mike Fernandez, and Jeff Kennedy, who met at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The business has locations around the nation, including Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, and even abroad in Mexico City. Carlock estimates that there are approximately 60 locations.
Yum, another OTP restaurant chain.
Lemme update my passport…
And you’re really calling yourselves a “Southern Soul Food Revival Restaurant?”
Ben, Mike, and Jeff…
If it’s the same Moe’s BBQ that I’m thinking of there’s already at least one in Atlanta at 14th and State St.
Best BBQ around! The one in midtown is awesome as everything is made in house daily.
