The popular San Francisco-based Mediterranean fast-casual chain Oasis Grill will soon be making its Texas debut at 166 S. Guadalupe St in San Marcos, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. Given its prominent location in the downtown area of a college town, Oasis is certain to draw in students, locals, and visitors looking for a quick and healthy meal.

What Now Austin recently reached out to co-owner Mohammad Zughaiyir to inquire about potential opening dates and other details about this significant cross-country expansion, but he was not immediately available for comment.

Founded by husband and wife team Mohammad Zughaiyir and Muna Azzghayer in 1999 on Drumm St in San Francisco, Oasis Grill specializes in wraps such as chicken shawarma, falafel, and gyro, kebab plates, salads, bowls, and desserts such as baklava and turkish delight.

Until the San Marcos location opens its doors, curious foodies will have to travel to San Francisco and try Oasis’s offerings at one of its five existing locations.
