Cosmic Coffee will be improving its Pickle Road location, according to recent public records. The restaurant will be focusing on 548 square feet of space as it constructs “new restrooms and back of house space.”

Readers unfamiliar with Cosmic can expect a classic lineup of coffee, beers, cocktails. As the existing locations provide food via food trucks, it is not immediately clear what the south Austin location will be serving.

“Cosmic Hospitality Group’s co-partners are Paul Oveisi, Patrick Dean, Jason Stevens and John Butts,” the report continues.

“Oveisi and Dean opened the original Cosmic in the Dawson neighborhood off South Congress Boulevard in 2017. This one includes food trucks, including the lauded new-school barbecue truck LeRoy & Lewis, taco truck Pueblo Viejo, and chicken wing spot Tommy Want Wingy. The second Cosmic — dubbed Cosmic Saltillo — opened recently in September in East Austin. And for food, this one includes Cosmic’s first-ever taco restaurant, Cosmic Tacos.”

The construction is expected to finish in October.
