Austin food truck Espadas de Brazil, known for serving authentic Brazilian dishes, is gearing up to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Bastrop. The spot is expected to open in late spring at 1507 Chestnut St., according to reporting by Community Impact. The space formerly housed Stem & Stone.
An announcement on their website teases the new location.
“From our food truck roots to a full Brazilian steakhouse experience, we’re thrilled to bring authentic churrasco to Bastrop, Texas,” the announcement states.
The brand announced this week on social media that it is hiring for the new location, and a “coming soon” post earlier this month indicates that the space is coming along.
Espadas de Brazil, helmed by owner Robinson Figueiredo, serves Brazilian dishes such as spicy garlic picanha, protein-centered plates with rice, beans and fries, and sandwiches with Brazilian flavors.
