Atomic Wings, a New York-based restaurant, will open its first location in Austin at 144 S Brook Drive, Suite #130. The Wing franchise is known for offering authentic Buffalo-style flavors, a menu built around fresh chicken free of antibiotics, and sauces made from scratch. The restaurant aims to open in mid-June, pending certificates.
Sri Pacha, the franchisee behind the South Brook location, told What Now Austin that she had previously experienced Atomic Wings in Houston and was drawn to its “boldness with new, spicy flavors.” She added, “The business is very promising, as the taste is incredible, with fresh ingredients made from scratch.”
Pacha wanted to bring an option that is exciting, flavorful, and community-friendly to the Leander area. “As Leander continues to grow, I saw an opportunity to introduce a brand that offers more than just wings, a place where people can gather, enjoy great food, celebrate with friends, and feel connected to the local community.”
South Brook is currently experiencing major growth, and the Austin-area location will sit adjacent to Northline, a development that has transformed into a growing food hub. The area will also feature Paris Baguette and Shipley Do-Nuts.
For its opening, the restaurant is planning a series of events targeting different demographics. The first will be a VIP Influencer Night, a private event where community creators can experience the menu before opening day. There will also be a Grand Opening Celebration designed to welcome Leander families, neighbors, and local businesses. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Leander Chamber of Commerce, followed by a three-day launch weekend with special offers and promotions encouraging the community to try Atomic Wings.
The company opened its first active Texas location in Houston in 2024. Since then, the Texas market has responded positively. Atomic Wings CEO Zak Omar told What Now Austin that he believes the brand’s success comes down to quality. “Texas reminds me a lot of New York,” Omar said. “There’s a huge food explosion happening in Houston, Dallas, and Austin, with a lot of young professionals and foodies who really appreciate high-quality food. That’s exactly the type of market we’ve built our brand for.”
Omar also highlighted the brand’s momentum in the state, noting that beyond its existing footprint, another Dallas-area location is already in the works. Omar also highlights the company’s plans to keep growing in Texas: “We’re also looking to expand into many different parts of Houston, and I think the growth is going to continue in the Texas market,” Omar told What Now Austin.
