According to recent public records, a new independent bar is being built in Leander.

Shady Brew Garden will be found at 303 S. Broade St, near the growing city’s downtown.

Public records examined by What Now Austin detail a $144,500 construction job that will renovate an “existing single story wood frame structure into a quick service bar.” The project should be done by late September if estimates hold.

Community Impact had recent reported that the opening of a new food truck park called Shady Brew Garden in Old Town Leander has been delayed to last fall.

“Shady Brew Garden will offer beer on tap, wine and coffee, and up to four food trucks to choose a meal from,” the report had said, citing Omar Dyess, who co-owns the establishment alongside John Dyess, Chris Nguyen and Elias Cruz.

“Shady Brew Garden is planned to have a covered patio, live music, a playscape, lawn games, picnic tables and a dog park,” CI added, quoting Dyess as describing an  “inviting and family friendly” atmosphere.
