According to recent public records, Snarf’s Sandwiches will be expanding its Austin footprint in the coming year with a 13450 Research Blvd location.

Records examined by What Now Austin outline an “interior renovation of (e) vacant tenant space former sandwich shop to become new sandwich shop. tenant improvements include demolition and new partitions, ceilings, doors, finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing”

Construction notes further delineate that the $650,000 job will reach completion by late June.

“Jimmy Seidel, founder and CEO of Snarf’s, said expansion has been on his mind for a long time, though his plan was dampened by the pandemic,” a recent ABJ report stated.

“Finding Austin sites also posed difficulties, he added. It took more than a year to open the first Snarf’s in Austin, which is located on Medical Arts Street. Now, the company is planning to open in North and South Austin — and it again took more than 12 months from scouting the sites to signing lease deals, he said.”

“We looked everywhere, including the surrounding areas in Westlake and Round Rock. There were several other locations we really liked in addition to the two we ended up leasing, and those didn’t work out. So, we’re just trying to find trade areas where we feel we would be a good fit,” Director of Corporate Development Natalie Brilliant said to ABJ.

“We’ve done really well in areas that are experiencing growth or regrowth. We’ve been lucky to go into a lot of neighborhoods where people hadn’t really started moving there yet and then it’s become very popular,” she said.
