A new Domino’s is soon coming to Austin, according to a recent filling with the State of Texas. The restaurant will be located at 1200 Barbara Jordan Blvd, within Suite 322, near Halal Wings, Pad Thai Cuisine and other eateries.

According to the filing, the restaurant will undergo “addition of new interior partitions, casework, fixed furniture, kitchen equipment, & MEP”, with an estimated cost of $400,000 and 1,839 square feet. It is notable that the filing also anticipates completion in December 2023, which implies the possibility this upcoming Domino’s may be a year away from fully functioning.

Domino’s is perhaps one of the most recognizable fast casual restaurant brands in the world, featuring a menu of pizza, wings, breadsticks, and an array of baked desserts.

Founded in 1960 as “DomiNick’s” in Michigan, the original store was bought by Tom and James Monaghan for $500 and renamed Domino’s Pizza. Since then, the company has become an incredibly successful American-style pizza chain with locations all across the United States and the world at large. As proof of its international success, the company’s first store to make $3 million in a year was the Tallaght, Ireland location in 2006.

What Now Austin recently contacted Kris Sanches, franchisee and long-time Domino’s employee, to inquire about the upcoming location, but he was not immediately available for comment.
