According to recent construction records, massive cafe chain Panera is soon building up a Leander location at 1060 Hero Way.

“We believe in serving delicious, freshly prepared, Clean food made with carefully selected ingredients that we are proud to serve our own families. Our menu, crafted by chefs and bakers, features classic, comforting dishes, each with an intriguing twist,” the official website states.

Panera’s widely diverse menu offers salads, soups, sandwiches, pizza, breakfast dishes, and warm bowls. Perhaps what sets the brand apart in the US fast casual dining landscape is its range of baked goods — bagels, cookies, pastries, muffins, scones, and breads can all be found at the chain’s nationwide locations.

Construction records state that the build out will consist of “tenant interior alteration to include new walls finishes fixtures and paint.” The job will cost an estimated $750,000 and end by December 2025.

The development underscores the rapid growth of Leander, one of the most booming suburbs north of Austin city limits.

No opening date has been set.
