Taco Palenque, the ever-expanding Laredo-based fast casual concept, is set to begin building up its debut Hutto outpost, according to recent public records. The restaurant will be located at 2722 FM 685, near HEB and Star Ranch.

Public records examined by What Now Austin indicate that the ground-up construction will concern a “quick-service restaurant with drive-thru, patio, and associated site improvements,” span 3,223 square feet, and cost an estimated $986,000. The project is estimated to wrap up by May 2024.

Readers unfamiliar with Taco Palenque can expect a 24-hour quick-serve eatery with a truly dizzying array of options such as breakfast tacos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, aguas frescas, and classic Mexican desserts such as flan, tres leches, and rice pudding.

Until the Hutto location opens its doors, eager readers can find four Taco Palenque locations throughout the central Texas area.
