The Modern Austin Residences is about to get a little more elevated! Coming late 2025, early 2026, is the opening of an upscale cocktail bar that’ll sit on the ground floor of the residential condo building located in the bustling Rainey Street District.

According to a recently filed liquor license, the new establishment will open doors at 610 Davis St., Ste. 100. Currently dubbed The Modern, it’s intended to serve as a “hospitality hotspot for entrepreneurs, urbanists and aficionados,” according to the Urbanspace Hospitality website.

The Urbanspace Hospitality group is the team behind the building and its soon-to-come swanky new addition. According to its website, CEO Kevin Burns founded Urbanspace in 2002 as a means to provide a locale to live, work, and play. After nailing the live and work part with the 2025 build of a 56-story building holding 319 residential condos and a business center, it appears that it was time to spice things up in the play department with the opening of a cocktail bar that promises a good time.

What Now Austin reached out to Burns for comment, but wasn’t able to secure more details by the time of publication. Burns did respond and didn’t say that the new high-end lounge wouldn’t be coming in the next few months, as the website suggests, but nothing further was said about the menu and drink selections.

For now, What Now Austin readers can rest assured knowing at least this: a new cocktail bar is indeed coming between the end of this year and early 2026. As for when exactly and what you can drink and eat there, well, you’ll have to check back with us for updates as they’re made available.
