Degree Wellness is set to open its first location in Austin. According to public filings, the recovery center will be located at 4411 South Congress Ave. What Now Austin reached out to franchise co-owner Brad Cellio, who said the studio is targeting an early 2027 opening as permitting and build-out move forward.

Degree Wellness is a self-care center offering recovery and wellness treatments backed by science. Services include cryotherapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy, contrast therapy, light facial treatments, oxygen therapy, compression massage, IV therapy, nutrient shots, and NAD+ treatments. The company was founded in 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida, by Amanda Watts and has since grown to roughly 80 studios across 20 states, with 13 locations in Texas either open or in development.

Cellio came to the concept after experiencing burnout. “I had nothing in place to actually recover and reset, not just physically but mentally. That’s what drew me to Degree Wellness. The science behind what they offer is real and it works,” he told What Now Austin.

The South Congress address was a deliberate choice. “It’s one of the fastest-growing and most vibrant parts of Austin right now, and the community there really aligns with what we’re building. We’re literally embedded in the neighborhood from day one,” Cellio told What Now Austin.

The Austin location will be the first of four Degree Wellness studios planned for the city in the coming years. On the studio’s mission, Cellio said the brand is designed for anyone feeling drained by the demands of daily life, not just fitness enthusiasts. “Busy parents, people grinding through stressful jobs, anyone who never really stops. These modalities all have legit benefits for stress, sleep and energy,” he said.

Founding memberships are expected to launch in fall 2026 ahead of the opening.
