Coffee lovers in Bridgewater will soon have a new place to grab their favorite brew.
Mike Shea’s Coffee Roasting Company is expanding with a second location at 1 Lakeshore Center in Bridgewater, according to a social media update from the café. The family-owned business shared a first look at the under-construction space and said the team is targeting a summer 2026 opening.
“The rumors are true… We are SO excited to finally and officially announce we are opening our second location this summer,” wrote ownership. “We could not be more excited to give you another space to pull up a chair, slow down, and enjoy all your favorite coffees, pastries, and sandwiches.”
Mike Shea’s Coffee Roasting was founded back in 2009, when father-and-son team John and Mike Shea launched the company’s roasting operation. After years of learning the craft through hands-on, small-batch roasting, Mike developed the signature blends and single-origin coffees that have become the foundation of the business. The duo later opened a coffee bar at the original Bridgewater roastery.
Today, the shop serves a full lineup of specialty coffee drinks, including espresso beverages, pour-overs, French press coffee, matcha, and house-made nitro cold brew, which is steeped in-house for up to 20 hours.
Customers can also choose from breakfast and lunch favorites like bagels, pastries, muffins, cookies, and sandwiches. Seasonal summer offerings currently include drinks such as the S’mores Latte, Mango Citrus Tea, and Coconut Water Americano.
The company roasts 100% Arabica specialty-grade beans in small batches using American-made Diedrich roasters, sourcing coffee directly from growers and trusted importers around the world. Along with its focus on quality coffee, Mike Shea’s has built a reputation as a community-minded business, supporting local libraries, first responders, and charitable organizations throughout the Bridgewater area.
