A fast-growing ramen concept is adding two more restaurants to its Greater Boston footprint.

Ramen Haven is preparing to open new locations at 250 Granite Street, Unit 211A in Braintree‘s South Shore Plaza and at 832 Commonwealth Avenue near Boston University in Boston, according to permits recently filed with both cities. A company representative confirmed the expansion with What Now Boston, noting that the Braintree location is on track to open in late October 2026, while the Boston restaurant is expected to follow in December 2026.

Launched in September of last year, Ramen Haven was founded by a team of young operators, creators, and lifelong students of Japanese food who turned their shared passion into a growing restaurant concept. The Berlin-based company currently operates three locations in Berlin, Sudbury, and Burlington.

According to the company, Ramen Haven has secured more than $5 million in funding and plans to grow to 20 locations by 2028. The brand says it is building a network of restaurants ranging from neighborhood spots to high-traffic destinations throughout Greater Boston.

As the name suggests, ramen is at the heart of the concept. Ramen Haven serves nearly a dozen varieties, with broths simmered for more than 10 hours to develop a rich, creamy flavor. Menu staples include Tonkotsu Ramen and Spicy Miso Ramen, alongside rice bowls and starters such as gyoza and edamame.

Diners can also indulge in an extensive vegan selection and a drink menu featuring milk teas, fruit slushes, and yogurt-based beverages, as well as sweet treats such as matcha crêpe cake and tiramisu.

The brand’s Sudbury location, which opened in May, has an expanded menu with some particularly luxe additions, including Lobster Ramen, Uni Ramen, and Wagyu rice bowls. It has not yet been confirmed whether those offerings will make their way to the upcoming Braintree and Boston locations.

Behind the scenes, Ramen Haven places an emphasis on sustainability, giving its food waste a second life by turning it into fertilizer for local farms, according to the company. In 2027, the team plans to take that effort a step further by establishing its own organic farm in Berlin, with the goal of bringing its kitchens, ingredients, and local community even closer together.

Official grand opening dates for the Braintree and Boston restaurants have not yet been announced, so keep an eye out for updates as construction and preparations continue.
