Mandarin Cuisine Says Goodbye to Needham Community

The restaurant announced the closure in a social media post. Owner Joan confirmed that Mandarin Cuisine, located at 238 Highland Avenue, will close on October 31.

“We have loved every single moment of serving you over the past 37 years. Thank you for your unwavering support, your smiles, and for making our restaurant a true community staple,” the owner mentioned.

The owner also said the restaurant will be handed over to new ownership.

Community Reaction on Social Media

The Facebook announcement prompted comments from longtime customers.

One of the customers wrote, “This is very sad news. There was a time we went weekly (or more), and even now we stop by after babysitting grandchildren (quite often) in order to relax and have a great meal.”

Another customer shared a cherished memory and said, “So sorry to hear this news. We were just in the restaurant last week for my Birthday. My family has visited every time there was a birthday, anniversary, Mother’s and Father’s Day, special events. We had so many good memories over the years.”

Some customers also shared heartfelt messages and wished the owner the best for the future. “Joan – I am so sorry to hear this. You all have been the best, from the food and the staff; you will truly be missed. Best of luck to you on your next adventure!” commented a customer.

The restaurant is scheduled to close under its current ownership on October 31, with the space set to be handed over to new ownership.
