It looks like BON! Specialty Coffee is getting ready to expand its Boston footprint.
According to an Instagram update from Bret Clancy, the local coffee shop is planning to open a second location in the former CVS space at 1249 Boylston Street in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood, directly across from The Bon by Morro apartments. Despite the similar name, the apartment building is not affiliated with the coffee shop. Recent business entity filings for BON Fenway LLC corroborate plans for the new location.
Founded by Omar and Zeyad ElSherif, BON! first opened in Beacon Hill, near Boston Common, in May 2025. Since then, the specialty coffee shop has quickly built a following among local crowds and on social media, thanks in part to its colorful menu of specialty coffee, matcha, and seasonal drinks.
The menu features a mix of specialty coffee drinks such as the Spanish Coffee, Tiramisu Latte, and Caramel Latte, alongside classics like cold brew.
Matcha drinkers have plenty of options, too, including fun flavors like the Blackberry Matcha and Strawberry Matcha Lattes, as well as more unexpected combinations like Banana Matcha and Honey Cinnamon Matcha. According to a previous report from Lux Cafe Club, BON!’s matcha is sourced from Japan and prepared using traditional methods.
The ElSherifs also pay tribute to their Egyptian heritage through the drink menu, which includes three traditional Egyptian tea options: classic, mint, and milk tea. Beyond specialty beverages, BON! serves locally sourced pastries as well as soft serve.
The Fenway location is currently slated to open in January or February 2027, according to Bret Clancy. What Now Boston has reached out to the ElSherifs for additional details about the upcoming location and will share more information as it becomes available.
