It looks like a new Irish-American pub is headed to Watertown.

West on Main is moving into the former site of Fit-Z’s Bar & Grille at 451 Main St in the downtown area, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. The pub’s social media pages confirm this news.

Business filings indicate that West on Main is owned by partners Paul Dullaghan and David Kelly. While an official opening date has not yet been announced, Kelly recently posted a promising teaser on Facebook. “The Guinness will soon be flowing,” he wrote.

In its Google listing, West on Main describes itself as “the go-to place for great food, drinks, and live sports,” blending the warmth of an Irish pub with the familiarity of an American bar. The kitchen will offer comfort food, rotating specials, and a traditional Sunday roast.

Construction is underway, and an opening date is expected soon—be sure to follow West on Main on Instagram and Facebook for updates.
