Century-Old George & Phillips is Set to Close

Located at 173 Water Street, Exeter, NH, George & Phillips is a family-owned and operated sports and athletic goods store. The independent retail specializes in technical footwear, apparel, and accessories. The store is well-known for its personalized services and expert guidance.

The store announced its closure in a social media post. The team wrote, “It is with mixed emotions that I announce that I am retiring and closing George & Phillips Inc. after 106 years.” The announcement did not specify a closing date or provide a reason for the closure.

The store has also launched a going-out-of-business sale on July 8. The store team encouraged customers to come soon for the best deals and selections.
