A Bolton yoga studio is making room for even more movement, creativity, and community.
The Yoga Nook is expanding with The Oasis Studio & Zen Loft, a new two-story concept that will give owner, yoga instructor, and reiki master Jackie Houde more space to bring her passions for yoga, art, and wellness together. Houde, who operates The Yoga Nook upstairs at 476 Main Street, announced the expansion on social media, sharing her excitement about the opportunities the additional space will offer.
“Our secret is out,” she wrote. “The Yoga Nook is expanding!🎉 A larger space will provide us with the opportunity to hold more adult & kids classes (at the same time ), offer unique workshops that combine creativity & movement, and gather in community.”
Houde opened The Yoga Nook in November 2024 with a simple goal: to create a welcoming, intimate environment for people who might feel intimidated by larger yoga studios or gyms. The original studio spans just 420 square feet, features no mirrors, and accommodates a maximum of 10 students per class.
For Houde, keeping things small and approachable was intentional. As someone who experiences anxiety herself, she recognized the need for a space where people could practice without worrying about feeling judged, navigating crowded rooms, or knowing exactly what to do.
When the space next door to her existing studio became available, Houde saw an opportunity to expand her offerings and create something new. With a background in fine art and design, she hopes to build on The Yoga Nook’s foundation while introducing more ways for the community to explore creativity and wellness.
“The expansion of The Yoga Nook is very special to me because it will fulfill my dream to combine my two passions, yoga and art,” Houde told What Now Boston. “I’m incredibly grateful to offer a supportive space where our community can come together through movement, artistic expression, and all-around wellness.”
Together, Oasis Studio & Zen Loft will span more than 1,200 square feet across two floors, while The Yoga Nook will continue operating as usual. The new concept will feature two distinct spaces, each offering its own way to unwind, explore, and connect.
On the ground floor, Oasis Studio will offer an expanded class schedule and introduce a broader range of movement and wellness experiences. Guests can look forward to additional weekly yoga classes, including power yoga, kids’ yoga, kundalini yoga, yoga with weights, and spa yoga.
Additionally, Oasis will host reiki healing sessions, community healing groups, and customized gatherings for special occasions, including birthday celebrations and bachelorette parties. Houde is also planning a lineup of “unique, out-of-the-box” workshops that bring together art, creativity, and movement.
Upstairs, Zen Loft will offer a calming place to settle in after a class or workshop. Designed as a relaxing tea bar, the space will invite guests to linger over a warm cup of tea, unwind, and soak up the nutrients of their practice.
Although Houde initially hoped to open the new concept in October, unexpected setbacks have pushed the timeline back a few months. While the exact date has yet to be finalized, she is now aiming to welcome guests to Oasis Studio & Zen Loft in early 2027, likely on January 4.
