A new Japanese restaurant will open soon at 3575 Maybank Hwy on Johns Island. Called Asian Hibachi Grill, it’s looking to launch in mid-to-late September.
Word of the opening first got out back in February, in a post published to Instagram by Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic.
“An exciting new addition is coming to Johns Island!” the post said. “Asian Hibachi Grill has leased 1,622 SF at 3575 Maybank Highway. Hannah Kamba and Brent Case, CCIM, CRE of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented the tenant. Casey Lowery of Adams Property Group represented the landlord.”
What Now confirmed news of the opening on Thursday with owner Ji Sheng Fang.
“We’re going to do Japanese takeout,” Fang said. “Hibachi, teriyaki, sushi. There will be a little Chinese food, too, like General Tso’s Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Orange Chicken.”
Opening in the Johns Island Shopping Center, Asian Hibachi Grill will feature about 10 tables inside for guests to enjoy their food.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
