A rapidly growing breakfast chain is cooking up a new location in South Carolina.
First Watch is planned for Summerville at 2800 N Main Street, according to construction documents.
First Watch serves breakfast, brunch and lunch, including pancakes, sandwiches, eggs benedict, breakfast tacos, omelettes, salads and more, plus coffee, juices and breakfast cocktails. The restaurant is also known for its seasonal offerings, like the current Wild Berry Lavender French Toast, as the menu rotates five times per year.
First Watch is based in Bradenton, Florida. According to the company, they operate more than 580 locations in 31 states. The company used to offer franchising but has moved away from that model in recent years. “Please note that we are growing through a company-owned model at this time, and new franchise opportunities are not available,” according to the company.
In November 2024, First Watch also announced that it had agreed to acquire 15 of its franchise-owned restaurants, one that was currently under construction, and corresponding development rights in South Carolina and North Carolina.
Construction bids on the upcoming Summerville restaurant will be accepted until May 28, 2025.
